Lee Seung Gi Makes a Grand “Return” with “Forest”
Hello..!!!
wow, setelah lama ga update gara — gara kuliah, yang dimana gue tiap minggu buat laporan mulu *sobs* akhirnya ada kesempatan buat ngepost sesuatu. kali ini pengen ngepost review album. haha. well, I’ll attempt to write this “special” (with grammatical error -_- ) review in english :3
it needs me to listen carefully and deeply in order to review it nicely
and this is come from someone who loves judging a song (including my favourite singers but I don’t say it)
not a good review sih, but I hope you like it
so… here it is~

umm….first of all, I’ve been a fan for two years (until now) and I absolutery like all his past albums. I can’t help, but God, I really adore him as singer. it’s not mean I don’t love him as actor and emcee (also his heodang-ness
). hehe
oh by the way, Lee Seung Gi has just released 5.5 jib (or you can say it’s a mini album because of 0.5 thingy) “숲” (Forest) on November 22 containing 5 tracks, 4 songs with one intro . when I looked at a photo of the album, first thing that cross on my mind was…I can prank my friend with this album, hey the album itself looks like a book. huahahahahha. I love the cover. simple, but ellegant. just a korean word and the color fits with autumn (I love autumn anyway)
Track 1 — Intro
you can’t expect from the intro because it leads to the next song and it happened to be the title track from this album. I love the orchestra feel from this song
Track 2 — 되돌리다 (Return)
the title track from this album. hmm. it’s a sweet ballad with piano at the intro and repeating chorus. this song tells about a flashback from someone’s first love. what I love from this album is Lee Seung Gi sang it soo flawlessly that succesfully…… (ok I’m being fool right now) made my tears fell down (nyesek bro..nyesek!!!!). this song brings out my cherished and sweet memories in high school.

I look back to those times, as if I could touch it, as if it was yesterday
for the MV, this is just the part 1. the setting is really cool, in school (I miss my high school life!!!) and forest. Park Gun Tae and Kim You Jung as the lead of the MV did a great job (shipper feel~). the 7 minutes MV is really worth to watch. I read on somewhere that the story from the MV based on Seunggi’s story (ouch…..)
Track 3 — 숲 (Forest)
this song is soon-to-be-released the part 2 of the MV and it’s really show the other side of singer Lee Seung Gi, which I love it. I can’t describe my feeling while listening to the song. if you know what I mean…speechless. it left me speechless, so speechless (wrong song -_- )
Track 4 — 사랑한다는 말 (Words That Says I Love You)
finally, the song I’ve been waiting for, Lee Seung Gi’s self composed song. literally, judge from the title it’ll be a very sweet song, but unfortunately, is that about break up thingy? *sobs*. love the french feel, like, the saxophone sound, maybe?anyway, it’s a great start from Seunggi as a songwriter and composer. yoohooo~
P.S. he’s actually wrote “Alone in Love” and “Just You” in 5th album. hehe.
Track 5 — 나에게 초대 (Invitation To Me)
a more refreshing song from this album. this is really a prefect song for you in order to get someone (eaaa…) it reminds me with a songs, but I forget which song I’m talking about ( I mean, the feel bro!). you can listen to this song while enjoying a morning tea or sitting alone in the middle of a park. I haven’t find the english translation for this song (and the rest of the album except the title track), but I’m smiling everytime I listen to this song
overall, it’s beyond my expectation or in the other word, blow me away. this is not just an album with boring ballad songs. it’s more like “ healing “ album. maybe this album is still lacking on something (although it a very little thing) and Seunggi has a long journey to become a great composer and produce his own album by himself, but this album is a “cherry on top of an ice cream”, an album that makes you want to listen over and over again, remembering memories of love, and yearning about your first love. all his effort for the past 7 months has payed off and the title track is currently dominating the chart. woooohoooo. I hope he’ll able to perform on music program and grab some awards.
